| Event Description: | Annual Sipayik Indian Days: a Passamaquoddy Heritage Celebration
Native American celebration located on the Pleasant Point Reservation Route 190 just east of Perry, Maine.
Homecoming and a celebration of Passamaquoddy culture including crafts, foods, dancing, drumming, canoe races, childrens activities,and a spectacular fireworks display. All are welcome.

Event Description: The 22nd Maine Salmon Festival in Eastport
Always the weekend after Labor day!
This years two day event includes Paint Eastport Day on Saturday sponsored by the Eastport Gallery.This festival celebrates Maine's Atlantic Salmon Aquaculture industry. This event offers seafood chowders of various types and crabroll lunches served on Saturday. On Sunday the annual salmon barbaque dinner takes place under the tent on the breakwater with a boat sail by begining there around mid-day. Arts and craft tent and live music both days.Andrews Beer is available with dinners both days( extra from dinner price). Road race for youths and adults on Sunday morning. Educational displays promoting the salmon industry. Free parking and free admission. Architectural tours starting at the Eastport for Pride office Sunday afternoon.Festivities held at the Eastport Breakwater and through the historic downtown area. Artists will bring their finished works to the gallery at the end of the day,where the work will be displayed and a silent auction/reception will be held. Great fun!
